The Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Mental Health Provider to join our TalkNow Team. TalkNow is a 24/7/365 on-demand telehealth service catering exclusively to higher education students, faculty, and staff. As a provider, you will be a primary source of emotional support, focusing on crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk assessment, and safety planning.

Location

This is a remote position. Successful candidates must maintain their own internet with approved speed requirements, have a HIPAA-compliant workspace free from distractions, and complete all required credentialing, onboarding, and training programs. Adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards is mandatory.

Schedule

• Part-Time: 20 hours per week
• W2 Position
• Shift: Friday & Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Holiday shifts are expected and will be compensated with a spot bonus of $250.

Requirements for Contracted Services

• Education: Master's Degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Professional Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
• Licensure: Provisional or Associate License is REQUIRED. Fully Licensed Mental Health Practitioner is a PLUS.
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical writing, assessment, and active listening skills.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation.
  • Experience providing therapeutic services to young adults, adolescents, at-risk populations, or experience in community mental health, crisis support, or college counseling.

• Client Sessions: Approximately 20 minutes per client, with 10 minutes allocated for documentation (max 30 minutes total session time).

• Crisis Management: Assess, triage, and document sessions with members, including those in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation. Respond with professionalism, support, empathy, and cultural humility.

Salary Range:

• Associates/Provisionally Licensed Provider: $27,500 base pay
• Fully Clinically Licensed Provider: $30,000 base pay
• Eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
