Toast is expanding its innovative POS platform to new food and beverage concepts, including convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role requires a founder's mindset to grow the Toast Retail platform.
Toast provides an all-in-one platform for restaurateurs and retailers to manage operations, boost sales, engage customers, and improve employee satisfaction. As a District Manager, you will be crucial to expanding the Toast brand within your district. Reporting to the Director of Retail Sales, you will recruit, develop, and coach a team of Retail Territory Account Executives focused on transforming the operations of grocery stores, bottle shops, and convenience stores. You will collaborate closely with your sales team to understand the unique needs of Retail operators and work with the product team to develop solutions that enable Retailers to thrive.
This is a remote opportunity based out of Sacramento, CA, with travel up to 35% of the time.
A Day In The Life (Responsibilities)
- Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage a sales team to achieve quotas.
- Coach the team on a full-cycle sales process, including conducting effective discovery meetings, live demos, and creating tailored solution proposals.
- Provide coaching and empowerment through field visits, including walk-ins, prospecting, trade shows, and local business partnerships to exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to ensure sales promises are met in delivery.
- Strategically use Salesforce (CRM) and other technologies for productivity, forecasting, and analyzing conversion rates.
- Be accountable for new business growth within the assigned district.
What You'll Need To Thrive (Requirements)
- 5+ years of sales experience in sourcing and/or closing roles.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- Proven track record of success.
- Passion and ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, creative, and flexible, with the ability to perform under pressure.

Estimated Total Targeted Cash Compensation: $211,000 - $338,000 USD. This includes base salary, commission, and bonus (if eligible). Starting salary depends on skills, experience, and location. Benefits and equity may also be included.
