Summary
The Account Executive will focus on building net new business within the K12, Higher Education, and Workforce Development sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of sales processes, the education/government sectors, consultative selling, and developing compelling value propositions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in consultative technology sales (EdTech), quota attainment, and a passion for workforce development. This is a full-time, fully-remote, hunting role requiring residency in Ohio, with up to 50% domestic travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business by creatively sharing Transfr's vision within the assigned territory.
- Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop opportunities in new key accounts.
- Create compelling proposals and value propositions aligned with customer needs.
- Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers.
- Analyze job market needs versus existing training infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and provide feedback.
- Engage in the post-signature contracting process, including integration, change management, and renegotiations.
- Manage inbound inquiries with a long-range perspective.
- Develop deal timelines, meet milestones, and update the CRM system.
- Build consultative relationships by understanding customer pain points and identifying early adopters.
- Gather user insights for product development.
- Own opportunities from start to finish.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in net new business SaaS sales.
- Proven experience exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Experience in K-12 and Government sectors.
- Proven track record of long-term customer retention.
- Consultative sales experience and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce, Google Docs, and Slack.
- Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality experience are a plus.
What We Offer
The base salary range is $90,000 - $110,000, determined by factors like credentials, experience, and location. This role is eligible for commission and includes benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid time off, and health benefits.
