Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week) initially; may reduce to ~20 hrs/week in final stages
Position Overview
A leading technology company specializing in advanced data storage and flash memory solutions is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager III to support its Product Launch Team. This role will focus on designing and implementing a scalable project tracking and trafficking system to support new product introductions (NPI).
The ideal candidate will architect a user-friendly, end-to-end project management framework that improves visibility, accountability, and execution across multiple business lines, enabling streamlined collaboration from kickoff through launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive project management system utilizing tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, JIRA, Ziflow, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
- Build scalable templates and frameworks to support:
- Full product launches
- Product line refreshes
- Maintenance cycles
- Marketing campaigns
- Develop and configure dashboards to provide visibility into project status, milestones, and overall portfolio health
- Create automated scheduling workflows using Smartsheet and/or Asana to dynamically adjust timelines based on task progress
- Design and manage cross-functional workflows, including:
- Visual asset approvals via Ziflow
- Copy/content collaboration via SharePoint
- Establish governance processes to improve tracking, reporting, and execution across the product launch lifecycle
- Build and deploy live project boards, timelines, and tracking systems for active initiatives
- Develop status reporting tools for weekly team syncs and executive-level updates
- Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders
Deliverables
- Standardized Asana portfolio dashboards and project board templates
- Automated project timeline templates with dynamic scheduling capabilities
- Cross-functional status boards and reporting dashboards
- Agency and asset management workflows
- Fully functional, live project boards for active product initiatives
- Documentation and system walkthrough for internal teams
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of project or program management experience
- Proven experience building and implementing project management systems or frameworks
- Strong expertise with tools such as: Asana, Smartsheet, JIRA, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Ziflow (or similar approval/workflow tools)
- Experience managing cross-functional workflows and stakeholder alignment
- Strong understanding of product launch cycles, NPI, or marketing operations
- Ability to design scalable, repeatable processes and templates
- Excellent communication, documentation, and training skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting product launches in hardware, technology, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with asset management and creative approval workflows
- Experience building executive dashboards and reporting systems
- Bachelor's degree (nice-to-have; not required)
Project Timeline & Milestones
- Week 1: Project kickoff and requirements confirmation
- Weeks 2--3: Draft template delivery
- Week 4: Final templates and execution of live boards
- Week 5: System walkthrough and documentation handoff
