These projects will help you explore how AI can be leveraged to improve technical reasoning, engineering accuracy, and design efficiency across manufacturing workflows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and solve real-world mechanical and manufacturing engineering problems to test AI reasoning.
  • Write clear, structured solutions covering mechanical design, materials selection, failure analysis, and production methods.
  • Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of simulation reasoning, calculations, and industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM).

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) and engineering analysis methods (FEA, CFD) preferred.
  • Strong English communication and technical reasoning skills.
  • Comfortable using web-based tools for annotation and review.

Perks of Freelancing with Turing & Offer Details

  • Strong compensation (exact amount varies by project).
  • Fully remote work environment.
