Job Summary
Tyto Athene is seeking a Program Control/Financial Analyst to manage daily program finance functions, including setup, maintenance, tracking, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for diverse contracts. This role involves close collaboration with program management, FP&A, contracts, subcontracts, accounts payable, and billing teams.
The analyst will support daily financial operations such as invoicing, accruals, revenue recognition, funding tracking, EACs, and routine financial reporting in compliance with DoD requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining financial records, processing contract transactions, and providing program control support for accurate and timely execution. This position will primarily support a high-visibility hybrid contract with multiple FFP and T&M Delivery Orders, requiring frequent customer interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a team to ensure proper cost capture, revenue recognition, and customer billing, adhering to all applicable policies and procedures for project setup and updates.
- Interpret government contracts and requirements to ensure appropriate program financial management, utilize Deltek Costpoint functionality, and comply with contractual reporting obligations.
- Perform routine and non-routine project financial reporting, including but not limited to Project Profit and Loss Statements, Project Status Reports, 75% Funding Notifications, Estimates to Complete (EACs), Estimates at Completion (EACs), Forecast and Budget Reports, Invoice Backup Reports, and various client-specific reports.
- Review invoices, timesheets, subcontractor invoices, vendor invoices, travel documentation, and funding statements for policy compliance and accurate capture.
- Review, analyze, and assess contracts, considering revenue recognition models and criteria.
- Foster communication networks among stakeholders, including Vertical Leadership, Operations Teams, Project Managers, Customers, Accounting, and Contracts.
- Complete monthly accrual and EAC updates for revenue recognition.
- Track subcontractor spending to monitor funds exhaustion and burn rate.
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) in identifying contract risks and opportunities (upsides/downsides).
- Collaborate with PMs to update Direct Charge Access Forms (DCAF) for new contracts, ensuring correct charge codes, option year exercise, new hires, resignations, FFP revenue, and LCATs for T&M.
- Complete vendor coding sheets for subcontractor invoices after accuracy review, rejecting incorrect submissions and requesting updated invoices.
- Enter purchase order requests and updates for subcontractors and vendors.
- Review Tyto invoices for accuracy, including required backup documentation (ODCs, materials, travel).
Qualifications:
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in a financial program control environment within the federal government.
- Knowledge of government contract types, including Time and Materials (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
- Experience with large contracts featuring multiple CLINs.
- Comprehensive understanding of Estimate at Completion (EAC) development.
- Ability to independently and collaboratively identify, research, discuss, and resolve administrative and financial issues; set priorities balancing service and control; and track multiple initiatives.
- Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, and building financial models.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work across functions and cultures and interact with all organizational levels.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivots, etc.) for compiling, analyzing, and presenting clear financial status and reporting. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint functionality.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Desired:
- Experience with a large contractor, with adaptability to a small contractor environment during a growth phase.
Clearance:
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance.
Location:
- Remote, with the requirement to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
