Job Overview

Important: This is a W2-only position. No subcontracting and no sponsorship available.

Duties

  • Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design.
  • Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs.
  • Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • 20%: Ensure team members understand business requirements, maintain organizational standards, and deliver applications on time. Provide expert system knowledge and review documents.
  • 20%: Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software within budget. Evaluate interrelationships to determine the impact of changes.
  • 20%: Test modified programs, create test files, verify logic, debug, and write documentation.
  • 20%: Analyze production systems, recommend enhancements, and provide instruction to the support team. Research and resolve customer issues.
  • 20%: Analyze and evaluate systems. Develop functional design, technical specifications, concept diagrams, and workflow diagrams.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of application development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
  • Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work under pressure, and function as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools.

Technical Requirements

  • Required: Vue.js, Java, REST APIs, HTML/CSS.
  • Nice to Have: OpenShift Container Platform, Quarkus-based services, Adobe Experience Manager, CICD Pipeline.
  • Note: Not looking for HOST experience (e.g., COBOL).

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
    • Equivalency: 4 years of job-related experience OR 2 years of experience plus an Associate's degree.
  • Experience: 4 years of application development, systems testing, or related experience.

Work Environment and Schedule

  • Environment: Customer-focused, fast-paced, multi-platformed environment requiring 24/7 support.
  • Schedule: Partial onsite (Tuesday–Thursday). Remote Monday and Friday. Open to remote candidates as far as TX.
  • Team: Commercial Web team (15 members) responsible for member self-service portals and the Toolkit mobile application.
  • Interviews: Two rounds (one screening, one panel).
  • Note: Credit check required during pre-screening.
