Job Summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a part-time (30% FTE) faculty member for the Department of Clinical Pharmacy. This role partners with CU Medicine to support system-level population health and quality improvement initiatives within the Office of Value-Based Performance (OVBP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide centralized population health outreach to address care gaps, including medication adherence, statin use, osteoporosis management, flu vaccines, and medication reviews for older adults.
  • Analyze population data to identify value opportunities related to cost or quality.
  • Assist the Director of Population Health Pharmacy in executing and evaluating decentralized population health efforts.
  • Perform drug prior-authorization reviews for the CU Anthem Exclusive Health Plan.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative healthcare quality programs.

Work Location

This role is hybrid, requiring some days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • PharmD degree.
  • Completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency training.
  • Must have or be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Colorado.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in population health, managed care, or healthcare quality programs.
  • Previous experience in drug prior-authorization reviews.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Practice experience in primary care and population health initiatives.
  • Knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice in the ambulatory care setting.
  • Ability to develop innovative pharmacy practice sites.
  • Strong teaching, mentoring, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and project management abilities.

Salary

The starting salary range is $153,000 - $157,000 (adjusted for part-time FTE).
