UW Medical Center- Radiology Support Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 3 (MRI Scheduler).

Work Schedule

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Day Shift: Mondays-Fridays, 9:30am-6:00pm
  • Full remote (must be within a 2-hour commute to UW Tower)

Department Description

Radiology Services at UW Medical Center - Montlake is the premier choice for imaging in the Pacific Northwest. We offer comprehensive diagnostic support, from basic screening tests to cutting-edge procedures, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and world-class radiologists.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients with a focus on safety and reducing medical errors.
  • Create Epic orders and referrals, including CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  • Manage patient registration, including demographics, guarantor accounts, and insurance payors.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to increase daily throughput.
  • Analyze Epic work queue orders to assist in workflow efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for scheduling modalities and troubleshoot Epic errors.
  • Assist in training new staff and act as a team resource.
  • Monitor Epic schedule templates and audit online ticket scheduling for accuracy.
  • Analyze reports (No Show, Cancellation, Wait list) to reduce revenue loss.
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide solutions for complex workflow inefficiencies.
  • Maintain a Patient First mentality in all interactions.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Two years of Patient Services Specialist 2 experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $21.84 - $30.30 hourly
  • This is a regular, full-time (100% FTE) position.
