Role Overview

  • Remote position with 6 weeks of on-site training (M-F, 8 am – 4:30 pm EST).
  • Location Requirement: Candidates must live within commuting distance to the UPS facility in Philadelphia, PA.
  • Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (T-F 8 am – 4:30 pm, Sat 6 am – 2:30 pm).

Build your career in international trade and customs compliance with a global logistics leader. As a Customs Brokerage Specialist II, you will review import documentation, troubleshoot discrepancies, classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), and ensure shipments meet federal regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and process customs entries accurately and on time.
  • Review and audit commercial documents; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Apply correct HTS codes for duty assessment.
  • Communicate documentation needs with customers and foreign origins.
  • Coordinate freight forwarding and delivery with domestic and international carriers.
  • Submit customs entries via GBS-CM in a timely manner.
  • Scan and upload documentation into internal imaging systems.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and database-driven analyses.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive, clear communication.
  • Support weekend or holiday work on a rotational basis, as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of U.S. customs operations, regulations, and government agencies.
  • Familiarity with HTS codes or tariff classification (preferred but not required).
  • Strong computer skills and comfort with data entry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve documentation issues.

Training & Commitment Requirements

To ensure success and proficiency:

  1. 6 weeks of mandatory onsite training.
  2. 6-month lock-in period after hire to complete all training.
  3. 1-year product lock-in to maintain continuity and skill proficiency.

After training is complete, this is a fully remote position.
