Work model
Company Description
Velcor.ai is an AI-first revenue operations company focused on helping B2B teams scale their growth, not just automate tasks. The organization operates across four core pillars: Outbound Automation, AI Lead Scoring, CRM & RevOps, and Pipeline Strategy. Velcor.ai combines advanced AI systems with hands-on execution, ensuring that solutions are continuously refined and never left "built and forgotten." Rather than offering a traditional software subscription or plug-and-play tool, Velcor.ai serves as a strategic revenue partner that designs, implements, and operates systems collaboratively with clients. This approach offers team members the opportunity to work closely with customers on impactful, data-driven initiatives.
Role Description
The Generative AI Engineer will design, build, and deploy generative AI solutions that support revenue operations across outbound automation, lead scoring, and pipeline strategy. In this full-time remote role, the engineer will develop and fine-tune models, integrate them into production systems, and collaborate with revenue, product, and data teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI features. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and evaluating prompts, optimizing model performance, maintaining data pipelines, and monitoring system reliability and effectiveness. The engineer will also help experiment with new architectures and tools, document technical approaches, and support continuous improvement of AI-driven workflows used by clients.
Qualifications
- Strong machine learning and deep learning skills, including experience with transformer-based models, generative AI (LLMs, diffusion, or similar), and model evaluation.
- Proficiency in software engineering fundamentals, such as Python development, API design, version control (e.g., Git), and building reliable production services.
- Experience with AI infrastructure and tooling, including model deployment platforms, cloud services (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), and data pipeline orchestration.
- Familiarity with revenue, CRM, or B2B operations data, and the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design experiments, measure impact, and iterate quickly based on data.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team and document technical work for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with prompt engineering, RAG systems, or fine-tuning models on domain-specific datasets is a plus, as is prior work in revenue operations or B2B SaaS environments.
