Role Overview

This is a remote role within the United States, requiring US work authorization.

This is not a traditional project management role but a delivery leadership opportunity for individuals seeking ownership, impact, and variety in complex software initiatives.

VIATechnik seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple high-impact software development projects from inception through deployment. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, product leaders, and clients to transform ambiguity into execution and achieve results.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Over your first year, success in this role entails:

  • Successfully delivering multiple software projects end-to-end, meeting deadlines, scope, and business objectives.
  • Establishing clarity in ambiguous situations, translating goals into actionable plans, milestones, and priorities.
  • Building trust with engineers and stakeholders through effective communication, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
  • Adapting swiftly to changes in priorities, evolving requirements, and new technologies without losing momentum.
  • Taking ownership of outcomes, not just managing tasks, by engaging in details when necessary and leading at a strategic level when appropriate.
  • Enhancing delivery processes through smarter planning, improved visibility, and pragmatic improvements.
  • Utilizing modern tools, automation, and AI to refine forecasting, reporting, and decision-making across projects.

Who Thrives in This Role

This role is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have successfully led multiple complex software development projects in dynamic environments.
  • Are adept at operating without rigid frameworks, customizing approaches based on team, product, and context.
  • Quickly learn new domains and technologies, applying this knowledge in real-time.
  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Take personal accountability for delivery results and team success.
  • Prioritize continuous improvement over strict adherence to process.

Why This Is a Career Move

Top performers in this role can expect:

  • Exposure to a diverse range of clients, technologies, and problem spaces.
  • Significant influence over software delivery execution, beyond mere tracking.
  • A clear path toward broader delivery leadership and enterprise-level impact.
  • Autonomy, trust, and the opportunity to establish a reputation as a key delivery leader.

Application Information

We encourage you to share your story. During the interview process, you will be asked to provide a concise summary of a comparable accomplishment, focusing on scope, complexity, or business impact relevant to the challenges described.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, qualifications, location, and experience.
  • Health Insurance: Choice of five plans, with VIATechnik covering 70-95% of premiums for employees and 65% for dependents.
  • Dental and Vision Insurance: VIATechnik covers up to 75% of employee premiums and up to 50% of dependent premiums.
  • Time Off: Open and flexible paid time off.
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with immediate full vesting.
  • Home Office: Support for home office setup costs.
  • Holidays: Paid holidays.

VIATechnik is a minority and woman-owned and led company committed to building a diverse team. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.
