Position Summary
Join our team at Walmart Global Tech to build scalable, high-impact web applications. We are looking for an experienced engineer to drive architectural decisions, mentor team members, and deliver high-quality code that impacts millions of customers.
What You'll Do
- Full Stack Development: Spend 75-80% of your time coding across frontend and backend systems. Perform code reviews, debugging, and optimization.
- User Interface Design: Build responsive interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Webpack.
- Site Speed & Performance: Optimize load times, browser storage, and memory management for efficient application performance.
- Node.js & Backend: Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and manage data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Architecture & Collaboration: Drive architectural vision, document systems, and work cross-functionally to enhance user experiences.
- Engineering Excellence: Prioritize quality, monitor application health, and champion innovative technologies.
What You Will Bring
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, and Webpack.
- Expertise in Node.js, RESTful API design, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
- Knowledge of site speed optimization, browser memory management, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies (GCP/Azure).
General Skills
- Several years of full-stack development experience in complex web applications.
- Proven ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Option 2: 5 years of software engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field and 1 year of experience.
- Experience with digital accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA standards) and assistive technologies.
