Position and Salary
The Attorney General's Office is recruiting for a permanent full-time IT Application Developer, Senior/Specialist in the Information Services Division. This position is located in Tumwater, Washington, and is not union-represented.
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
About the Information Services Division
The Information Services Division (ISD) provides strategic technology leadership, support and consulting for legal technologies and platforms. ISD leads the design, development, and delivery of all AGO technology systems and applications, including enterprise infrastructure, voice services and secure network environments.
Duties and Essential Functions
This position uses an agile development methodology, innovation and creativity to complete assignments. The position provides supervision and expert level architecture, analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for division specific and agency-wide, and high risk/high impact, mission-critical custom developed applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Provides software development, architecture, design and maintenance for new projects, enhancements, off the shelf software customizations and software integrations.
- Serves as a technical leader on highly complex software or application development efforts.
- Evaluates new software development products and programming languages.
- Participates in business analysis and prioritization for software development projects.
- Provides oversight and supervision to the Software Development Team.
Required Qualifications
- Option 1: Nine (9) years of information technology experience such as architecting, analyzing, designing, or programming software applications.
- Option 2: An Associate's or Technical degree in Computer Science OR equivalent AND Seven (7) years of information technology experience.
- Option 3: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR equivalent AND Five (5) years of information technology experience.
AND
Additionally, provide proof of at least two-years' experience within the past four years, and demonstrate proficiency developing applications using:
- ASP.NET, C#, MVC Framework
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Microsoft.NET Framework Libraries (4.0 or above)
- SQL and Transact-SQL
- Microsoft Visual Studio or equivalent
- SQL Server Management Studio or equivalent
