Requirements
Must have:
- Eight or more years of professional experience building and enhancing applications with tools and languages such as Visual Studio, C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, MVC or MWM, WPF, ADO, WCF, and JSON, along with database development using T-SQL, stored procedures, and Entity Framework, unit testing, and development standards in a managed environment.
- Alternatively, a bachelors degree or higher in computer science, computer programming, or a closely related discipline plus four years of recent professional experience with the same application, database, testing, and standards-based development work.
- Alternatively, an associates degree in computer science, computer programming, or a closely related discipline plus six years of recent professional experience with the same application, database, testing, and standards-based development work.
- The ability to learn and grow.
- The ability to respond to and meet the needs of others.
Preferred:
- One year of experience working on an Agile Scrum team.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve applications that support agency programs as part of an Agile development team.
- Develop and support software applications, application interfaces, and web services.
- Translate business requirements into application features.
- Advise management and help coordinate work items across several applications.
- Create prototypes that support business functionality.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues involving applications, environments, platforms, software, or hardware.
- Participate in incident response and problem management efforts to identify and deliver solutions.
- Use the software development lifecycle to plan, analyze, design, develop, and test applications and interfaces.
- Apply agency technology standards and procedures to deliver aligned solutions.
- Document technical specifications, network diagrams, application behavior, deployment plans, and release notes.
- Research complex technical issues involving application development, database design, platform configuration, performance, security, and data integrity.
- Stay current on evolving technology trends and evaluate emerging tools for possible implementation.
