About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Market Risk Specialist to support the Enterprise Counterparty Risk Management (ECRM) Governance team within Market and Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM). ECRM provides governance, oversight, monitoring, and reporting of counterparty credit risk generated by the firm's trading and sales businesses. This role will support senior team members in the execution, coordination, and maintenance of counterparty credit-related governance routines, including controls, governance forums, and support for enterprise programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the execution of ECRM Governance-related controls, ensuring compliance with written procedures and maintenance of clear documentation evidencing control execution.
  • Provide support for ECRM's committee, council, and working group processes, including the preparation of meeting materials and documentation of meeting minutes.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining counterparty credit policies, procedures, and related documents by coordinating with subject matter experts and line of business partners to ensure alignment with business practices, regulatory expectations, and internal standards.
  • Support the completion of required tasks within the Policy Governance Platform and maintain documentation in accordance with enterprise policy management requirements, including monitoring routines to track compliance.
  • Perform monitoring and reporting of counterparty-related key risk indicators and risk appetite metrics, including analyzing trends, identifying trigger drivers, and assessing recalibration needs.
  • Support the execution of the Major Counterparty Crisis (MCC) test, the management of ad hoc event processes, and the maintenance and enhancement of MCC infrastructure.
  • Coordinate ECRM Governance record retention and contribute to the development and enhancement of ECRM's record-retention framework.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of market risk, Capital Markets, desk analyst, trading, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in the management and execution of controls, including procedure maintenance and experience with the RCSA framework.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to develop clear, concise, and visually compelling materials for senior management and executive-level councils and committees.
  • Experience supporting the development or maintenance of risk policies or procedures.
  • Familiarity with credit risk or counterparty credit risk concepts, frameworks, and tools.
  • Basic understanding of products such as derivatives, foreign exchange, or securities financing.
  • Effective organizational and process management skills, with the ability to coordinate recurring risk routines and deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with a variety of stakeholders across risk and front-office teams.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, or regulatory processes is a plus.

Job Location:

Pay Range:

$87,000.00 - $140,000.00
