Remote Position with Virtual Training
Shift: Monday-Friday, 5 am - 10 am PST start, with some Saturdays.

Experience in Dispatch, Routing, or Logistics preferred!
High-level computer competency and communication skills are essential!
I. Job Summary
This role involves communicating with Waste Management Drivers to resolve issues encountered while on their routes for residential, commercial, and roll-off lines of business. Responsibilities include handling incoming service orders, directing drivers, and resolving service issues. You will interact with Waste Management customer service, sales, and operational staff, including Route Managers and Mechanics. Utilizing Waste Management proprietary software, you will manage same-day ticket routing and prepare routes for the following day. Shifts may vary, with potential for overtime and Saturday hours based on market dispatch center needs. Some travel (up to 15%) may be required for face-to-face interaction with sites.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispatches drivers to calls as they are received, balancing cost and customer satisfaction by considering customer needs, driver locations and loads, and daily factors.
- Collaborates with sites and the service department to optimize routes based on customer requirements.
- Determines the daily driver staffing level to ensure the best mix of responsiveness and productivity.
- Assigns routes and service tickets to appropriate drivers throughout the day and for the next day, managing and determining route actions to assure route completion.
- Handles incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales departments, managing requests for all pick-up or delivery on any container movement within the Market area.
- Initiates communication with customers when drivers are on-site to resolve pick-up or other service-delaying issues.
- Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and pick-up problems before they lead to service issues.
- Ensures same-day service for missed pick-ups by managing all route routing and tracking driver movement in the field.

IV. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. (accredited).
- Experience: Six (6) months of relevant work experience in a team setting, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple areas.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with excellent organizational skills.
B. Preferred Qualifications
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with multiple programs and systems, including basic connection and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally via email, telephone, and 2-way devices.
- Willingness and ability to learn Waste Management proprietary software applications.
V. WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Work Setting: Home Office with a reliable internet connection and a quiet environment.
The expected base pay rate for this Remote position is $21.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
