Job description
About Your Marketing Partners
Your Marketing Partners is a UK-based paid ads agency serving clients across ecommerce, coaching, consulting, and info businesses. We run two core offers:
- Done-For-You (DFY): We run the entire Meta ads operation - strategy, creative direction, media buying, and reporting - for clients scaling past six and seven figures.
- Done-With-You (DWY): We coach and consult founders and in-house teams who want to build the capability internally
Responsibilities
Raw footage edits
- Work with whatever raw footage the client supplies - founder talking heads, studio shoots, product footage, B-roll, creator/UGC content, screen recordings, event footage - and cut it into paid ad formats
- Sort and log raw footage quickly; identify the usable takes, hooks, and soundbites
- Build multiple ad variations from a single shoot - different hooks, different angles, different lengths, different CTAs - so buyers have proper volume to test with
- Nail the hook in the first 1--3 seconds - text overlays, B-roll, jump cuts, pattern interrupts
- Add captions, text emphasis, broll, stock, screen recordings, and graphic elements that reinforce the message
Motion graphics
- Build motion-led ads from scratch when there's no raw footage - typography, animated elements, product motion, data-driven or text-driven concepts
- Mix motion into UGC and VSL cuts where it strengthens the message (animated stats, callouts, product features, comparison frames)
VSLs (Video Sales Letters)
- Edit long-form VSL scripts into finished videos - pacing, visuals, B-roll, graphics, captions, music
- Know how to keep a VSL moving so viewers don't drop off in the first 60 seconds
- Produce shorter cutdowns of VSLs for ad use
Qualifications
- 2--4 years' experience editing video ad creative, ideally for Meta and/or YouTube
- Reel/portfolio that shows real DR work - raw footage cutdowns, UGC ads, motion ads, VSLs, YouTube ads - not wedding films, brand sizzles, or YouTuber-style long form
- Genuinely fast - you can turn around ads in hours to a couple of days, not weeks, without the quality falling apart
- Strong grasp of ad pacing, hooks, pattern interrupts, captions, and retention mechanics - you edit for the algorithm and the viewer, not for the client's aesthetic preferences
- Comfortable working with messy, unstructured raw footage - you can find the gold in an hour of rambling founder talking head or a chaotic product shoot
- Fluent in Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve, plus After Effects for motion work
- Comfortable with captions/subtitle workflows (auto-caption tools plus manual cleanup), basic colour correction, and audio mixing/levelling
- Comfortable sourcing and integrating stock footage, B-roll, screen recordings, and graphic elements cleanly
- Good written communication - you can read a brief properly, ask the right questions, and hand back work with clear notes
- Self-directed in a fully remote setup - you manage your queue, flag capacity issues early, and hit deadlines
