Role Description

Zilo International Group is seeking accomplished, entrepreneurial, and highly skilled consultants to join our team on a project-based, contract basis. This remote opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals who bring deep expertise in one or more functional or industry areas and are interested in contributing to meaningful client engagements on an as-needed basis.

Consultants may support a variety of projects, including strategic planning initiatives, organizational assessments, community engagement efforts, survey research, program evaluations, operational improvement initiatives, stakeholder facilitation, business advisory services, and specialized subject matter consulting.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting research, analysis, and diagnostic assessments
  • Facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, focus groups, and strategic planning sessions
  • Developing recommendations, implementation plans, and decision-support materials
  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and client deliverables for executive and leadership audiences
  • Supporting project management activities, timelines, and deliverable development
  • Providing subject matter expertise within specialized areas of practice
  • Collaborating with Zilo leadership, project teams, and client stakeholders
  • Supporting proposal development and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and related business development opportunities

Consultants will be engaged based on project needs, expertise, availability, and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree, PhD, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience; senior-level experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading projects, managing stakeholders, and delivering high-quality client outcomes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Experience preparing professional reports, recommendations, and executive-level presentations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Consulting experience is preferred but not required for candidates with significant subject matter expertise
  • Experience working with public-sector agencies, nonprofits, community-based organizations, educational institutions, transportation agencies, housing authorities, or private-sector organizations is highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities, when applicable
