Tax Analyst

Job Summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their Finance team in Schaumburg, IL. This hybrid role involves performing routine tax transactional tasks and resolving issues in tax accounting, reporting, planning, audits, research, and compliance.

About the Role

This hybrid position requires the Tax Analyst to work from the Schaumburg, IL North American headquarters an average of three times per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, supporting workpapers, estimated tax payments, and other tax compliance tasks.
• Assist in preparing quarterly tax provisions, including reports to management and external auditors, account reconciliations, tax basis balance sheet support, and internal control execution.
• Support company tax audits, respond to tax notices, and resolve tax controversy matters.
• Conduct basic technical research on tax issues and identify planning opportunities.
• Provide additional tax support, such as analyzing pending legislation, preparing transfer pricing documentation, and implementing legislative changes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with no prior experience required in Accounting and Finance; OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA
• Strong spreadsheet skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Master's Degree
• Accounting and/or tax internship and/or professional experience in public or corporate accounting
• Experience with CorpTax and/or SAP
• Microsoft Office skills

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $54,500.00 - $89,100.00, with eligibility for a 10% short-term incentive bonus. Zurich offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Learn more about Total Rewards here.
