Team Manager, General Liability

About the Role

Zurich is seeking a Complex Liability Claims Manager for the Multinational General Liability Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader to manage and develop a team of technical Claims Professionals handling complex primary high exposure auto and general liability claims and litigation. You will coordinate team activities, manage performance, and foster employee development and operational improvements.

Our hybrid work model allows for individual work in a preferred location while encouraging in-person collaboration when valuable. Occasional in-office attendance may be required. This role can report to any Zurich claims office or be remote within the US.

Basic Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor and 5+ years of Claims experience, OR
• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of Claims experience, OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8+ years of Claims experience
• Customer service experience
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Experience collaborating across work groups
• Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the legal/regulatory environment
• Willingness to travel 0-20%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multinational General Liability Claims experience
• Experience with attritional and mid/high General Liability Claims
• Proven experience analyzing coverage, liability, and damages for commercial casualty claims
• Experience overseeing bodily injury and property damage litigated claims (premises/operations, products/completed operations)
• People management experience
• Ability to inspire and influence
• Claims handling knowledge and skills
• Negotiation experience
• Line of business experience
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Compensation and Benefits

Your pay will be based on your role, location, skills, and experience, adhering to local laws. You may be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed salary range for this position is $96,300.00 - $175,000.00, with a short-term incentive bonus eligibility of 15%. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
