Position Overview
The associate will work on a broad range of surety and construction-related matters, including litigation in both state and federal courts, contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution, and client counseling.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of legal experience
- Active Texas bar license or eligibility for admission through the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE)
- Strong academic background with excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment alongside attorneys, clients, consultants, and industry professionals
Preferred Experience

Legal or practical experience within the construction industry

Experience handling:
- Construction disputes
- Mechanics liens
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and related documentation

Familiarity with surety or construction litigation matters is strongly preferred
