This hybrid commercial role is responsible for driving category strategy, customer growth, and revenue expansion across assigned over-the-counter (OTC) accounts. The position blends data-driven category leadership with hands-on sales execution to deliver profitable growth for both customers and the organization. As a strategic partner to retail customers, the role includes owning revenue goals, assortment strategy, promotional planning, and new product commercialization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver data-driven category reviews using syndicated data, point-of-sale data, and market trends.

  • Create fact-based selling materials to support new product introductions and distribution expansion.

  • Monitor category performance, competitive activity, and emerging OTC trends.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, marketing, and finance to align on category initiatives.

  • Own revenue, margin, and distribution targets for assigned customer accounts.

  • Develop and execute joint business plans with retail partners.

  • Lead new item sell-in and commercialization efforts.

  • Negotiate pricing, promotional programs, and trade investments.

  • Forecast demand and work closely with supply chain partners to ensure service levels.

  • Identify growth opportunities within existing customers.

  • Drive strong execution at retail locations.

  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and report potential hazards promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies among employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Communicate risks and enforce preventive measures in alignment with company guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • 5--7 years of experience in sales, marketing, or account management within pharmaceutical manufacturing or a closely related industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Experience with pricing and contract analysis in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

  • Clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.

  • Financial and margin management experience.

  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and lead cross-functionally.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical sales experience, including OTC and generic OTC pharmaceutical sales.

  • Market analysis, sales, marketing, and nutraceutical knowledge.

  • Proficiency in sales analysis and reporting.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote with approximately 20% travel to clients and the headquarters in Laurelton, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
