Engineer I

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking an Engineer I in New York, NY.

What You'll Do:

• Work closely with Software Engineers, Architects, Product Management and others to design and build APIGEE APIS
• Work closely with different application teams to design and build Protegrity data protection services
• Troubleshoot production issues and infrastructure-related issues
• Participate in architecture and security reviews for API Projects to comply with GBT Security Standards & Procedures
• Perform product version upgrades and patching
• Design and implement automation for deployment

Qualifications:

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information System or a related field plus three (3) years of relevant experience. In lieu of a Master's degree plus three years of experience, we will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of relevant progressive experience. Depending on degree, must also have:

• 3 or 5 years of experience with Java Script, XSLT, XML & JSON processing, and Unix/Linux commands
• 3 or 5 years of experience with REST APIs
• 3 or 5 years of experience with CI/CD (Jenkins and Git)
• 3 or 5 years of experience with APIGEE
• 3 or 5 years of experience with Troubleshooting Production issues
• 2 or 4 years of experience with Protegrity

Location:

United States (May work from home anywhere in the United States)

Salary Range:

$134,423 - $157,300/yr. #LI-DNI
