The Role

We're looking for a high-potential Sourcer to help build and scale our talent engine. This role sits at the core of how Assemble delivers value to clients. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying top-tier marketing talent across a range of functions.

This is not a traditional sourcing role. You will be expected to operate with leverage by using tools, automation, and emerging AI workflows to increase output, improve quality, and move faster than traditional recruiting models.

You should be excited about figuring out better ways to do things, not just executing a playbook.

What You'll Do

  • Source high-quality freelance and fractional marketing talent across functions including brand, creative, growth, content, and performance marketing
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines aligned to active and anticipated client needs
  • Partner closely with Account Managers to understand role requirements and calibrate on candidate quality
  • Use AI tools, sourcing platforms, and automation workflows to scale outreach and pipeline generation
  • Track and analyze sourcing performance, including outreach, response rates, and conversion metrics
  • Continuously refine sourcing strategies based on data and feedback
  • Contribute to building internal sourcing processes, playbooks, and systems as the company scales
  • Support onboarding and handoff of candidates into the hiring process

What We're Looking For

  • 2--3 years of sourcing or recruiting experience, ideally in marketing, creative, or agency environments
  • Demonstrated ability to source at scale and generate consistent pipeline
  • Familiarity with modern sourcing tools (LinkedIn, job boards, talent platforms) and interest in leveraging AI to improve efficiency
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to experiment with new tools, workflows, and technologies
  • Data-oriented mindset. You track your work and use it to get better
  • Clear communicator who can engage candidates effectively
  • High ownership and accountability in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable operating in a startup setting where roles are not rigid and priorities evolve
