ABOUT THE ROLE

Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, entering and updating data, and supporting administrative operations for a growing U.S.-based organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in administrative support, operations, or data management. No prior professional experience is required—training will be provided.

The Data Entry Clerk will work with internal systems and teams to ensure data accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a remote work environment.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $85,000 per year, based on accuracy, productivity, and client hiring needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Enter, update, and maintain data in internal systems and databases
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Organize digital files, records, and documents
  • Assist with data cleanup and quality checks
  • Input information from various sources (documents, spreadsheets, systems)
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information
  • Support administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Track and meet data entry deadlines and productivity targets
  • Communicate with team members regarding data updates or issues
  • Follow company procedures and data management guidelines

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No prior experience required (training provided)
  • Basic computer skills (typing, email, spreadsheets)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to stay organized and manage repetitive tasks
  • Good written and basic communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable internet connection and home workspace
  • Willingness to learn and follow structured processes

NICE TO HAVE

  • Typing speed of 40 WPM (not required but helpful)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Previous admin, data entry, or customer service experience
  • Experience working with large datasets or spreadsheets
  • Exposure to remote work tools (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.)
