Colorwheel Digital
Paid Media Specialist
Job summary
Work model
Colorwheel Digital is a People-First Media Strategy & Analytics Agency built on the belief that great marketing starts with a deep understanding of people. We combine rigorous audience research with integrated paid and organic execution to help our clients reach the right audiences with clarity and purpose. As a growing agency, every member of our team plays a meaningful role in shaping how we work and what we deliver, and we take that responsibility seriously.
We are headquartered in Vancouver, and while our team works fully remote, we come together for in-person meetings roughly once a quarter, so we are looking for someone based in the Pacific Northwest who can join us for those touchpoints.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Paid Media Specialist to join our team as a skilled, platform-savvy practitioner who thrives in the day-to-day work of campaign management. This is a role for someone who has direct experience running paid media across channels, particularly for Shopify-based ecommerce brands. The ideal candidate knows how to keep campaigns running cleanly and efficiently, and takes pride in delivering clear, well-organized reporting that clients and internal teams can act on.
In this role, you will work closely with our Director of Client Strategy and Senior Media Strategist, managing active campaigns across a range of clients and channels. You will be the person our team can count on to execute with precision, catch issues before they become problems, and communicate clearly about day-to-day performance and tactical decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Management
- Build, launch, and actively manage paid media campaigns across search and social platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads, and Bing, with particular depth in ecommerce-focused campaign structures such as dynamic product ads, catalog sales campaigns, and Shopping/Performance Max.
- Leverage your Shopify expertise to align campaign strategy and measurement with the full ecommerce funnel, from product feed health and pixel configuration to purchase conversion tracking and revenue attribution.
- Monitor campaigns on a daily basis, identifying performance trends and making proactive optimizations to bids, budgets, targeting, creative rotation, and placements.
- Implement and QA tracking pixels and conversion events using Google Tag Manager, with fluency in Shopify's pixel and data layer setup to ensure accurate data collection across all active campaigns.
- Manage campaign budgets with attention to pacing, efficiency, and accurate allocation across clients and channels.
- Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging ad formats that affect campaign performance and strategy.
- Bring forward-looking awareness to channel-specific best practices, helping the team stay ahead of shifts in the paid media landscape.
Reporting & Communication
- Build and maintain clear, well-structured performance reports and dashboards that translate platform data into meaningful, client-facing insights.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and pivot tables to support KPI tracking, budget reconciliation, and ROI analysis.
- Communicate proactively with internal team members when campaign performance, budget changes, or platform issues require attention or escalation.
An eye for design and layout is a plus - specifically the ability to work within established brand templates to produce polished client-facing reporting decks and clean display assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of hands-on paid media campaign management experience, preferably in an agency environment.
- Demonstrated platform fluency across multiple paid channels, with meaningful experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, including the ability to build custom reports and interpret attribution data. GA4 certification is a plus.
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting tracking via Google Tag Manager.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH, and data visualization.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active campaigns simultaneously without losing detail or momentum.
- Clear, professional communication style, both in written reporting and in verbal or written client-facing interactions.
