Job description

Our healthcare client is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist for a 20-week contract.

High-level details

  • Hours/week: 40 (standard US business hours)
  • Duration: 8/10/26 - 12/24/26
  • Location: Remote, must be located in the US to be considered.

Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced professional to step into a high-impact role supporting their communications team during a maternity leave (August - December). This period aligns with their busy season, and your work will directly ensure that critical member and provider communications go out accurately, on time, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

If you thrive in fast-paced, detail-heavy environments and enjoy partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver flawless communications, this role will be a great fit.

Primary Responsibilities

You'll be a core part of a collaborative, execution-focused team that manages 800 projects annually. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Managing Workfront intake and triaging communication requests
  • Updating and maintaining communication templates and content
  • Routing materials through Legal, Compliance, and Privacy review
  • Performing QA, proofing, and readiness checks before deployment
  • Coordinating vendor production timelines and handoffs
  • Supporting issue resolution, escalations, and corrections post-deployment
  • Managing enhanced disruption and onboarding communications for key clients
  • Tracking and supporting KPI reporting
  • Participating in pre and post-leave knowledge transfers

The ideal candidate

  • 5 years' in marketing communications, project management, or campaign operations
  • 3 years' experience working in regulated environments - healthcare or insurance is preferred
  • Experience supporting mandatory and compliance-driven campaigns
  • Experience in Workfront is highly preferred
  • A steady hand during high-volume, time-sensitive periods
  • Strong QA and proofreading skills
  • Vendor workflow management experience
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities under tight deadlines
