About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly---from managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks to ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. What You'll Do

  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Maintain financial records and reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end close
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership on payroll, benefits, and reporting needs
  • Assist with audits and maintain organized documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations
  • Experience with accounting and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, or similar)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
