Role Description
The Director of Operations is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities and ensuring smooth and efficient business processes across the organization. This role coordinates and improves workflows, develops and monitors key performance indicators, and implements policies and procedures that support compliance, quality, and scalability.
The Director of Operations will collaborate with leadership to align operations with company strategy, manage budgets and resource allocation, and support cross-functional initiatives. Daily responsibilities include supervising operational staff, resolving escalated issues, analyzing operational data, and recommending improvements to enhance client experience and organizational performance. The role also involves partnering with finance, customer service, and other teams to support consistent service delivery and operational excellence in a remote environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management experience, including process optimization, policy implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Proficient Analytical Skills to interpret operational and financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, including coaching, performance feedback, and leading distributed or remote teams.
- Budgeting experience, including forecasting, cost control, and aligning resources with strategic priorities.
- Customer Service orientation, with the ability to support high-quality client experiences and resolve complex issues.
- Experience in financial services or a closely related, regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and drive results in a part-time leadership role.
