About the Job
The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position serves as a central resource for employees and managers across the organization, delivering consistent, high-quality HR support across the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through performance management, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding. The HR Coordinator partners closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Payroll, and department leaders to ensure accurate data, efficient processes, and a positive employee experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new hires, including offer letter processing, preboarding communications, I-9 and E-Verify completion, background check administration, and orientation scheduling.
- Ensure timely and accurate new hire data entry in the HRIS and maintain complete digital employee files.
- Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, equipment return coordination, system access terminations, and final payroll notifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their first weeks, answering questions and connecting them to the right resources.
HR Data & HRIS Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, including status changes, compensation updates, job changes, and organizational updates.
- Generate and distribute routine HR reports such as headcount, turnover, org charts, and census data; support ad-hoc reporting requests from HR leadership.
- Audit employee data for accuracy and completeness; identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support HRIS system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements as directed.
Employee Relations & HR Operations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, leave, and general HR matters; escalate complex issues to the appropriate HR Business Partner.
- Support the administration of leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and applicable state-specific leave policies, in partnership with the HR team.
- Assist with employee relations matters by maintaining documentation, scheduling meetings, and ensuring follow-through on action items.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications.
Talent Acquisition Support
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to coordinate interviews, schedule candidates, and facilitate a seamless candidate experience.
- Post open positions on job boards and internal career sites; manage applicant tracking system (ATS) updates as needed.
- Prepare and process offer letters, background check authorizations, and new hire paperwork.
Performance Management & Learning
- Support the administration of performance review cycles, including communications, tracking, and filing of completed evaluations.
- Coordinate training logistics, track completion of mandatory and developmental learning activities, and maintain training records.
- Assist managers and employees with performance management tools and platforms as needed.
Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure HR processes and documentation comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and organize employee files (electronic and physical) in accordance with recordkeeping requirements and company policy.
- Assist with the preparation of compliance reports and filings (e.g., EEO-1, AAP data collection) as directed.
- Support policy updates and help communicate HR policy changes to employees and managers.
Payroll Coordination
- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data changes, new hires, terminations, and other payroll-impacting transactions.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the Payroll team.
Other
- Represent Flourish Research in a professional and courteous manner (verbal, written, and in appearance) when interacting with all staff, clients, and vendors.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Work is primarily performed in an office or hybrid work environment.
- Daily computer use required.
- Minimal travel may be required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required, or commensurate work experience.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of progressive HR experience in a coordinator or generalist support role required. Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, BambooHR, or similar) required. PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong organizational and file management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive employee information.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent computer skills to include Office365 products; experience with HR reporting and data analysis is a plus.
- Collaborative team player who builds trust across functions and communicates with transparency.
- Customer-service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and demonstrated experience in process improvement.
- Flexible and able to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think independently and influence when appropriate.
