  • Infrastructure Management: Administer and monitor MS SQL Server environments across a distributed 60-site network.
  • High Availability: Design and maintain Always On, clustering, and replication to ensure zero downtime for manufacturing operations.
  • Hybrid Cloud: Manage the transition and support of Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Security & Recovery: Implement robust backup/disaster recovery strategies and maintain strict data integrity and compliance.
  • Dev Collaboration: Partner with developers to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize T-SQL code.
  • Full Stack Support: Manage SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS components.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3--7+ years of MS SQL Server administration in an enterprise environment.
  • Scale: Proven experience supporting multi-site, distributed database environments.
  • Cloud: Hands-on experience with Azure SQL and hybrid architectures.
  • Tech Stack: Expert-level T-SQL, execution plan analysis, and HA/DR technologies (Always On).
  • Legacy to Modern: Ability to manage the full spectrum of SQL Server versions (2005 to present).
  • Bonus: Oracle database experience or MS SQL certifications are a plus.

The Person

  • No-Nonsense Troubleshooter: You enjoy solving complex performance issues across a massive footprint.
  • Organized: You can handle the competing priorities of a fast-paced manufacturing business without losing track of documentation.
  • Clear Communicator: You can explain technical blockers to stakeholders and collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Self-Directed: You're comfortable working 100% remote while staying proactive in monitoring system health.

  • SQL Server (2005--Current)
  • T-SQL / Query Optimization
  • Always On / Clustering / Replication
  • Azure SQL / Managed Instances
  • ERP & Manufacturing System Support
