The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. Reporting directly to our Controller, you'll be the engine that keeps vendor payments accurate and on time -- supporting monthly financial close and making sure our back-office hums. This is a fully remote, full-time position for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and brings a positive energy to everything they touch.
What You'll Do
- Process 500+ vendor invoices each month with a high degree of accuracy
- Match delivery receipts to invoices and track vendor credits
- Reconcile credit card charges and vendor statements on a monthly basis
- Support weekly and monthly accounting tasks, checklists, and reporting
- Follow documented workflows and troubleshoot discrepancies before escalating
- Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute ideas for process improvement
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of AP/accounting experience in a construction environment
- Hands-on proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor and Sage Paperless
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- Clear, professional communication and a collaborative team mindset
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting with Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting systems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

- Credit card charges and vendor statements fully reconciled each month
- Weekly and monthly checklists completed without prompting
