A fast‑growing, cloud‑native financial services company is building a modern, API‑driven platform that allows customers to purchase products directly online. As the platform continues to scale, we're hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to partner closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to design and operate secure, highly automated cloud delivery systems.

This is a senior‑level role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. You'll work extensively with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, and Azure‑native services to support modern application delivery and platform reliability. Experience with AWS is viewed positively, but Azure is the organization's primary cloud environment today.

You'll report into the DevOps Team Lead and act as a technical leader and mentor within the DevOps function.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, build, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
  • Design and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, and PowerShell
  • Create reusable infrastructure patterns and platform standards within Azure, with an awareness of broader multi‑cloud design considerations
  • Partner closely with software engineering teams to support the build, deployment, and operation of web applications, APIs, and platform services
  • Apply application development experience to improve build, release, deployment, and configuration management workflows
  • Own and enhance existing Azure DevOps pipelines and deployment tooling
  • Support and troubleshoot Azure PaaS and platform services used across the organization
  • Champion secure cloud practices, including networking, identity, access management, secrets, and environment security
  • Collaborate with security and engineering teams to improve reliability, observability, and overall security posture
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to other DevOps engineers
  • Participate in operational support, incident troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles
  • Deep, hands‑on experience with Azure environments
  • Strong understanding of modern application development and delivery practices
  • Solid grasp of cloud networking and security concepts (DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls, identity, secrets, certificates, secure connectivity)
  • Experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) to increase productivity while maintaining strong engineering and security standards
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership efforts

Required Technical Experience:

  • Azure DevOps build and release pipelines (code and infrastructure)
  • YAML‑based pipelines and reusable pipeline templates
  • PowerShell scripting and automation
