Lead Substation Protection & Control Engineer
Location: Remote US
ICF is seeking a Lead Substation P&C Engineer to work on the design of relay and protection and control projects on high voltage substations (12kV to 500kV).

What You Will Be Doing:
Responsibilities include the design and preparation of the following Protection and Control Drawings:
- Protective Schemes
- Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines
- AC/DC Schematics
- Substation Panel Layouts
- Substation Wiring Diagram and Cable Schedule
- SCADA and Communication Diagrams
- DC Systems Calculations
- AC Systems Calculations
- Development of Equipment Specification and Selection based on Client Criteria
- Development of Bill of Materials based on Design Criteria
- Coordination with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines for quality deliverables
- Client meeting participation and site visits for data gathering
- Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables
- Applying client standards
- Providing field support during construction
- Performing and ensuring company's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are followed
- Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering)
- 5 years of protection and controls experience
- 5 years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
Preferred Skills:
- Engineering in Training (EIT) license
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of industry standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI)
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans, blueprints, and drawings
