Lead Substation Protection & Control Engineer

Location: Remote US

ICF is seeking a Lead Substation P&C Engineer to work on the design of relay and protection and control projects on high voltage substations (12kV to 500kV).

What You Will Be Doing:

Responsibilities include the design and preparation of the following Protection and Control Drawings:

  • Protective Schemes
  • Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines
  • AC/DC Schematics
  • Substation Panel Layouts
  • Substation Wiring Diagram and Cable Schedule
  • SCADA and Communication Diagrams
  • DC Systems Calculations
  • AC Systems Calculations
  • Development of Equipment Specification and Selection based on Client Criteria
  • Development of Bill of Materials based on Design Criteria
  • Coordination with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines for quality deliverables
  • Client meeting participation and site visits for data gathering
  • Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables
  • Applying client standards
  • Providing field support during construction
  • Performing and ensuring company's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are followed
  • Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering)
  • 5 years of protection and controls experience
  • 5 years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation

Preferred Skills:

  • Engineering in Training (EIT) license
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of industry standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI)
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans, blueprints, and drawings

Pay Range: $98,614.00 - $202,850.00 (Full-time employment) Nationwide Remote Office (US99) #GEA25 #INDEED #LI-CC1
