About the Role

On your first day, you should be ready to:

  • Navigate complex B2B software sales involving multiple stakeholders, where end-users may not be the primary decision-makers.
  • Execute the full sales process, from discovery calls and demos to objection handling, contracting, and closing.
  • Engage with leaders in Professional Learning, Human Resources, Teaching & Learning, and Technology within school districts regarding educator growth.

What you'll learn after being hired:

  • Our established sales process and how to replicate its successes.
  • Our philosophies on educator growth and the impact of actionable data.

Within your first week, you will:

  • Introduce yourself to colleagues on Slack.
  • Meet with individuals from various departments to understand the user journey.
  • Explore the platform, review key use cases, and engage with customer testimonials, call recordings, and case studies.

Within your first month, you will:

  • Participate in and begin leading sales calls.
  • Start moving deals through the sales cycle and building your pipeline.
  • Leverage the expertise of the sales and client success teams regarding best practices, common themes, and customer success stories.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions and position KickUp based on needs analysis.

Within your first three months, you will:

  • Attend conferences to network with school district leaders and develop your territory's business.
  • Collaborate with marketing on region-, product-, or persona-specific campaigns.
  • Track close rates and identify patterns to aid in projections and pipeline management.
  • Share successful techniques and best practices with the sales team.
  • Provide insights to the product team to enhance user experience.

Within your first year, you will:

  • Close multiple sales and celebrate team wins.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
  • Build long-term relationships with districts in your assigned region.
  • Master our CRM (Hubspot) for pipeline forecasting and revenue performance communication.
  • Identify market trends and growth opportunities, focusing on refining sales processes and building pipeline during slower periods.

About You

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year in the K-12 EdTech sector.
  • A strong drive for revenue growth.
  • A hunger for learning and continuous improvement, with openness to feedback.
  • Natural relationship-building skills.
  • Persistence and meticulous follow-through.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in personal and company performance.
  • A collaborative, team-player attitude, working effectively with diverse individuals.

Position Details

  • This is a full-time, remote position, performable anywhere within the southwest US territory.
  • Occasional travel is required for conferences, events, and regional meetings.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $80,000-$115,000, with On-Target-Earnings between $115,000-$170,000, and uncapped commissions.
