Payroll Specialist (Payroll, Timekeeping & Leave Administration) | Remote (CST)

LaSalle Network is hiring for a Payroll Specialist to support a leading revenue cycle management organization. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys working with large data sets, payroll controls, audits and leave administration. The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining compliance standards and supporting payroll-related systems and processes.

What's the job?

  • Advance and validate time and absence data to support payroll processing
  • Run and maintain payroll control reports supporting SOC compliance each pay cycle
  • Monitor payroll integrations and support payroll close-out and financial reporting activities
  • Administer and audit leave of absence (LOA) status, payments, retroactive payments and vendor alignment
  • Import and validate EIB payment requests
  • Support payroll system enhancements, including requirements gathering, testing, troubleshooting and post-implementation review
  • Collect and maintain documentation supporting audits and internal controls
  • Validate leave protection expirations and ensure appropriate employee communication and documentation
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll tax wages and liabilities across state and local jurisdictions
  • Review and approve off-cycle payroll processing
  • Audit garnishments and third-party sick pay data
  • Support W-2 reporting activities and equity/stock-related payroll processes
  • Assist with reduction-in-force (RIF) tracking and documentation management

What's needed?

  • Previous experience supporting payroll operations
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with large data sets, audits and reconciliations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, organized and collaborative work style

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Payroll
  • Experience supporting leave administration, payroll controls or payroll systems projects
