Position Details

  • Type: 1099 Contract
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Hours: 20-25 hours per week
  • Compensation: $30-$40 per hour (based on experience)
  • Experience Level: 2--4 years preferred
  • Reports To: Director of Sales

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients within the construction and facilities management sectors. This role serves as the first point of contact for potential customers, building relationships with key decision-makers and generating qualified opportunities for the sales team.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by achieving measurable outcomes applying the discipline and rigor necessary to execute successfully.

Core Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting

Execute targeted outbound outreach, using HubSpot CRM Prospecting/Qualifying solutions and automation, through cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn networking to identify and engage high-value prospects.

Target Market Development

Focus on key segments including commercial construction and real estate, general contractors, multi-site property managers, and facility maintenance leaders.

Lead Generation & Qualification

Research and qualify ideal customer profiles (ICPs), engaging through sequenced outreach, identifying prospective client pains/needs, aligning Level's consulting and staffing solution expertise, learning and influencing prospect's project timelines, and identifying/engaging decision-making people and processes to build a strong pipeline.

Sales Pipeline Support

Schedule and coordinate in-person and virtual meetings between qualified prospects and Level's Subject Matter (Selling) Experts(SMEs) to further advance opportunities, scope, and negotiate contract closings.

Relationship Management

Develop and maintain professional relationships with prospective clients to build trust and position the company as a preferred partner.

CRM & Activity Tracking

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach, leads, and client interactions within CRM system (HubSpot).

Market & Industry Insights

Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and new construction developments; provide insights to sales and marketing teams.

Networking & Brand Presence

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and local association meetings to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications

Experience

2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role; experience in construction, facilities management, or building services preferred.

Industry Knowledge

Familiarity with construction processes, project lifecycles, or facility maintenance operations is strongly preferred.

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence technical and professional audiences.

Technical Proficiency

Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot, along with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint). HubSpot experience preferred.

Performance Driven

Demonstrated ability in meeting or exceeding business development and sales targets and performance metrics.

Work Ethic & Drive

Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, long sales-cycle environment.
