The Opportunity

Mercer's BCS Division increasingly drives competitive advantages on behalf of the firm through our leadership of key strategic commitments. To increase the trajectory & velocity of our transformative work, we seek an ambitious and self-directed colleague to partner with the US & Canada team to design and execute key strategic initiatives. You will develop & execute key strategic commitments with the US & Canada region to accelerate top line growth & NOI, delivering financial impact targets & opportunities outlined yearly, through right-shoring, process simplification, and digitization / automation leveraging AI.

We will count on you to:

  • Engage with senior business leaders to deliver targets, revenue growth and NOI improvements.
  • Keep current on best practices and academic research papers to identify applications for improvement for Strategic Planning and Development protocols, standards, methodology and procedures.
  • Continuously work with the business to identify net new opportunities, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership for instant reaction, medium-term consideration and long term analysis of business issues.
  • Be comfortable leading 2-3 internal client projects, from design to execution, ensuring that delivery is timely and on schedule.
  • Oversee process reviews, design workshops, analysis and design phases for client projects, whilst identifying process challenges and areas for improvement.
  • Respond to internal stakeholders' requests for special projects and analyses, and lead guidance and expertise on research matters requested by stakeholders.
  • Work with business partners and stakeholders to develop business cases, requirements, and comprehensive project plans to identify, quantify, and deliver benefits in support of strategic business objectives.
  • Deliver on workstream commitments and report on financial outcomes.
  • Creatively use available resources, tools, and technology to drive results.
  • Oversee and guide the work of other planning personnel on projects, and serve as a mentor to more junior professional and support colleagues.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a large multi-national and / or highly matrixed organization. Open to considering individuals with consulting experience.
  • Experience working within the professional services industry.
  • Evidence of delivering projects at scale from design to execution.
  • Confident approach in working with C-Suite leadership.
  • Experience in delivering automation / AI / digitization programs of work.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $130,300 to $260,600. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
