Requirements
Must have:
- Demonstrated expertise in Krita, supported by a professional or extensive freelance portfolio with complete illustration projects.
- Strong command of digital illustration and structured, layer-based workflows from rough sketch through final refinement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain creative processes and feedback clearly.
- Practical experience using Krita's advanced features, brushes, and layer management tools.
- Ability to work independently in virtual environments and consistently deliver against project objectives.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing polished, high-quality artwork.
- Proven ability to document workflow steps in a clear way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience collaborating with AI or machine learning teams on creative work is a plus.
- Background in art education or creating content about digital illustration tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with recording and explaining digital illustration workflows for educational or research purposes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create complete digital illustrations in Krita, taking work from initial sketch to final polish while following best practices and organized layer management.
- Carry out hour-long live illustration sessions in a virtual machine and capture each step of the process for AI training use.
- Explain creative decisions clearly through both written and spoken communication with the team.
- Work closely with project coordinators to ensure workflows meet quality standards and support AI research goals.
- Use advanced Krita tools and features while sharing professional techniques and methods.
- Produce clear documentation and feedback on workflows to help improve AI systems over time.
- Maintain a high standard of organization, structure, and quality in all artwork produced.
