Job Description
The client is seeking an engaged, witty, and community-first Community Manager to actively participate in and grow their brand's social presence across Instagram and TikTok, with a focus on authentic community interaction and broadcast channel management.
Job Summary
- Engage organically and consistently in brand social channels, inserting the client's voice into relevant conversations across Instagram and TikTok.
- Manage and grow a broadcast channel, driving a sense of insider community through frequent, organic, and provocative content that keeps the conversation moving.
- Respond to comments, posts, and community interactions in a quick, witty, and on-brand tone that reflects and builds upon the established brand voice.
- Monitor social conversations relevant to the brand and proactively participate to increase community presence and engagement.
- Collaborate with the content creation team member who manages the content calendar, serving as the community-facing complement to content production.
- Use Sprout Social to schedule and launch posts and pull basic performance data to inform community engagement strategy.
- Work directly with the hiring manager and broader social team, maintaining consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a Community Manager or in a similar social media community role.
- Demonstrated ability to engage authentically and quickly in social conversations while staying within brand voice guidelines.
- Strong understanding of social media language, culture, and engagement norms across Instagram and TikTok.
- Experience with Sprout Social or comparable social media management and analytics platforms.
- Experience managing or contributing to community-facing channels such as broadcast channels, group channels, or similar formats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working with a recognizable consumer brand, though smaller brand experience will be considered.
- Creative writing ability with a quick, witty, and culturally fluent communication style.
- Genuine personal interest in gardening, plants, or outdoor lifestyle content.
- Familiarity with gif-based reactions, meme culture, and native engagement techniques across social platforms.
