National Water Systems LLC
Chief Marketing Officer

Work model
A ground-floor seat in a build-to-exit play
Most CMO roles trade ceiling for stability. This one's the opposite. Modest base, large performance comp, and meaningful equity in a residential water filtration business launched 30 days ago and built for a national exit in the next 2-3 years.
If you've been waiting for the swing where doing the work actually changes your life --- read on.
Why Now
Residential water filtration is one of the last large home services categories without a dominant national brand. Local operators run the market. Most are small, regional, and unsophisticated on marketing. The space is wide open for someone to come in, build a real brand, scale through partners across the country, and consolidate the gap.
That's exactly what NWS is built to do. We're 30 days out of the gate with the playbook, the partner model, and the operating team already in place. What we need now is a marketing leader to build the engine that fuels the rest.
The founders aren't first-timers. We've had multiple exits, currently run 8-figure businesses.
The Role
You're the first marketing leader. You set strategy across every channel, direct the channel managers we already have, and build out the rest of the team. You're not running ad accounts yourself --- you're making sure the people who do are pointed at the right targets and hitting them.
You'll own:
- Lead volume to partners. This is the number. Year one is about getting qualified leads flowing into territories at a CAC that works.
- Strategy across every channel: paid digital (Meta, Google, YouTube), local SEO Google Business Profile, referral and customer marketing, content and organic social, events and guerrilla, direct mail, brand and PR.
- The local-vs-national split. You decide, channel by channel, what's run centrally to build the national brand vs. enabled at the partner level for local market wins --- and you build the playbooks that make both work.
- The team. Direct the channel managers in seat. Hire the rest. Manage the agencies. Build the org.
- Results. No excuses, no "the algorithm changed," no "the agency missed." If the number's not hitting, you're the one fixing it.
Who this is for
You'll fit here if:
- You've led marketing at a home services, water, HVAC, or plumbing business. This is non-negotiable. The dynamics of local lead-gen, install economics, and contractor sales aren't something we want you learning on our dime.
- You've managed channel managers and agencies, set strategy across a portfolio, and hit numbers across multiple channels at once.
- Franchise or multi-location experience --- strongly preferred.
- You're motivated by upside and ownership over a comfortable salary.
- You find the way. We're not interested in long explanations of why things didn't work. We want people who get it done.
Compensation
Modest base. Large performance component tied to lead volume and CAC. Meaningful equity for the right person.
We're not selling you safety. We're selling you a real shot at a real exit, alongside operators who've done it before, in a category wide open for the taking. If that's the math you've been looking for, this is built for you. If it's not, this isn't your role --- and that's fine.
