Role Overview
Optomi, in partnership with a leading energy client, is seeking a night shift IT Support Analyst. This candidate will work fully remote on a rotating shift schedule (6pm - 6am) and gain hands-on experience with a variety of tier 2 technologies, including servers and all things infrastructure!
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support enterprise infrastructure and critical applications.
- Troubleshoot Windows, Linux, server, storage, and virtualization environments.
- Respond to incidents, alerts, and escalations.
- Support production batch processing and job monitoring.
- Assist with server reboots, patching activities, and infrastructure changes.
- Participate in major incident response and disaster recovery exercises.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration experience (Open to internship / school experience also).
- Experience with Windows Server environments.
- Exposure to Linux administration preferred.
- Familiarity with VMware, Citrix, UAC, or enterprise monitoring tools is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- VMware or other virtualization technologies.
- Linux/UNIX systems.
- Storage or data center infrastructure.
- Batch job monitoring/scheduling tools.
