Job Summary

Proofpoint, a global leader in human- and agent-centric cybersecurity, is seeking a high-performing sales professional for their Named Account team. This remote role, open to candidates in the USA, focuses on managing mid-market named accounts, upselling, and cross-selling Proofpoint's comprehensive platform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage up to 50 mid-market named accounts, including whitespace and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the partner community to access whitespace accounts and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Sell the entire Proofpoint Platform, working closely with internal and external ecosystem partners.
  • Develop strategic account plans and identify add-on opportunities within the incumbent book of business.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the Proofpoint platform's value and competitive positioning.
  • Achieve consistent overachievement and maintain a high level of weekly activity with customers and partners.
  • Ensure continued engagement with existing accounts and meet/exceed revenue expectations.
  • Maintain active account plans and deliver quarterly Customer Business Reviews.
  • Secure renewals and educate customers on the Proofpoint Roadmap.
  • Stay current with continuous education on roadmap, new solutions, integrations, and industry developments.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts and maintain clean Salesforce reporting.
  • Contribute to team success through result-driven activity.
  • Develop and execute the path to plan, focusing on forecast accuracy and Salesforce hygiene.
  • Demonstrate relentless attention to detail, a never-give-up attitude, and high activity levels, emphasizing executive selling (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.).
  • Utilize strong presentation skills and a technical understanding of cybersecurity.
  • Engage in high sales activity, including 6-10 customer/partner meetings per week and 6 dedicated prospecting hours per week.
  • Possess the ability to both prospect and close business.
  • Develop and execute complex, multi-product/multiyear proposals.
  • Deliver engaging presentations focused on customer needs and overall solution value.
  • Identify customer business drivers and utilize use case/business value selling.
  • Effectively quarterback internal and external resources, understanding diverse personalities and competing priorities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum two years of field sales experience selling complex cybersecurity solutions (or related fields) and managing midmarket accounts.
  • Demonstrable track record of success and consistent overachievement.
  • Experience working with Channel Partners and selling via two-tier distribution.
  • Ability to identify customer business drivers and employ use case/business value selling.
  • Must reside in Utah, Northern California, Idaho, or Eastern Washington.
  • High level of weekly activity with customers and partners.
  • Continued engagement with existing accounts.
  • Ability to meet and exceed revenue expectations.
  • Maintain an active account plan.
  • Deliver quarterly Customer Business Reviews.
