We are seeking a Senior Director, SEO & AI Search to shape the future of organic discovery for Redfin and Rocket, two prominent brands in the real estate sector, serving a combined audience of over 60 million users.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will define the next era of search by setting the vision, driving the roadmap, and collaborating across engineering, product, marketing, and executive leadership. This is a highly strategic, high-visibility role with direct influence on company-wide priorities and the customer experience at a massive scale.

About The Role

Lead the Company's Search Engine Strategy

• Own the vision for how millions discover Redfin and Rocket.
• Establish the long-term SEO and AI Search strategy.
• Build a unified roadmap and define critical KPIs.
• Ensure we stay ahead of major shifts in search.

Own Technical SEO & Platform Architecture

• Drive technical SEO for large, dynamic marketplace platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to integrate search best practices into our architecture.

Accelerate AI Search & Answer Engine Visibility

• Define how Redfin and Rocket appear in AI-powered search.
• Develop frameworks for structured data, entity signals, authoritative content, and intent modeling.
• Transform emerging discovery behaviors into product and content opportunities.
• Position Redfin as a leader in AI-driven search.

Influence at the Highest Levels

• Partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics.
• Utilize data, insights, and clear communication to drive decisions impacting millions.
• Champion a search-first culture throughout the company.

Build and Lead a High-Performing Team

• Lead a team focused on technical SEO, content optimization, and search analytics.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop exceptional talent.
• Establish scalable processes and reporting frameworks for enterprise impact.

Proven SEO Leader

• 10 years of experience leading SEO and organic growth for large, complex, consumer-facing platforms.
• Demonstrated track record of driving enterprise-level results.
• Forward-thinking approach to search trends and future developments.

SEO & AI Search Expert

• Deep experience with large, dynamic websites and complex technical architectures.
• Proficiency with modern SEO and analytics tools.
• Adaptability to constant algorithm and platform shifts.
• Familiarity with AI-driven search and emerging answer engines.
• Blend of technical SEO mastery and understanding of LLMs, generative AI, and conversational interfaces.
• Ability to operate at an executive level while diving into technical details.

Compensation for this position ranges from $251,700.00 to $431,100.00 annually, potentially including a bonus, incentives, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.
