APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER (fully remote, U.S. Boston Area ++only++)

for Lucullus®, our process information management system for bioprocess development.

Your Responsibilities:

• Installation and basic configuration of our software applications on-site or by remote access to Linux and Windows.
• Coordination with the customer and responsible stakeholders for the respective IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database) for all necessary steps to deliver installations.
• Planning and performing software updates for our customers.
• Handling 1st and 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system (incl. triage).
• Supporting our tests department in the verification of installations and updating procedures.

YOUR PROFILE

• Successfully completed an apprenticeship as a computer scientist or an equivalent IT education, and several years of working experience.
• Solid experience (at least 2 years) in Customer or Software Support is expected and prioritized.
• Enjoy resolving technical issues in complex life science lab devices, computers, and network environments.
• Enjoy the responsibility of executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets.
• Strong people skills, being able to establish trust and develop long-term relationships with clients.
• Comfortable with administrative tasks on different OS (Linux, Windows).
• Preferably, experience in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL).
• Preferably, experience with software-to-software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability.
• Willingness to embrace travel activities of up to 5% (North America, Europe).
• Ability to work independently and use strong problem-solving abilities in a goal-oriented way while collaborating and communicating well in international and multicultural settings.
• Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus.
