Requirements

Must have:

  • Related bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including technical design and coding within the IT industry.
  • Strong Java and React development expertise.
  • Experience with unit testing, release processes, coding standards, documentation practices, and change management procedures.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexible team player who can also work independently and take full ownership of assigned work.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and incorporate constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Initiative, sound independent judgment, and effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.
  • Solid understanding of the systems development life cycle.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to assess options and recommend solutions aligned with business goals and strategy.
  • Ability to work with data from multiple sources and formats, including flat files, relational and non-relational databases, XML, and JSON.

Preferred:

  • Experience across multiple domains such as healthcare or financial services.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience developing SOAP and REST web services.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Hadoop, Storm, Spark, Kafka, Hive, NFI, and Scoop.
  • Database knowledge in SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB.
  • Proficiency with desktop tools such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools like Visio.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools such as Advanced Debugger, Allinea DDT, AQtime, ARM, CA/EZTEST, and similar tools.
  • Experience with version control tools such as GIT, GNU, RCS, SCCS, CVS, SVN, Mercurial, and Monotone.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and code information technology solutions.
  • Document detailed system specifications and support unit testing activities.
  • Maintain both planned and unplanned internally developed applications.
  • Evaluate and performance test purchased products.
  • Embed IT controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and the data they process or produce.
  • Lead efforts, review work output, provide guidance, and serve as technical resources for other developers.
