About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Content Writer to join our dynamic team on a freelance, contract basis. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with diverse clients across multiple industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SEO principles and be capable of creating engaging, high-ranking content that aligns with client strategies and search intent. Reporting directly to the SEO Manager, you will be responsible for producing optimized blog articles, website copy, landing pages, and other content assets that resonate with target audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice. Your work will contribute significantly to enhancing our clients' online visibility and driving organic traffic growth.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in writing SEO-driven content
- Proven track record of creating high-ranking, optimized content (portfolio required)
- Familiarity with keyword placement, search intent, and SEO formatting best practices
- Experience using SEO tools such as Surfer, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms
- Strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to adapt tone and voice to different industries and client needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a feedback-driven environment
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal (native or equivalent proficiency)
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Send links to online samples demonstrating reporting capabilities and a resume in PDF format
- Compensation is commensurate with experience; resumes with typos will not be considered
Responsibilities
- Write SEO-optimized blog posts, landing pages, web copy, and other content types across various industries
- Follow detailed content briefs, incorporating specified keywords and formatting guidelines
- Conduct research on trending topics and keywords aligned with client objectives
- Craft compelling meta titles, meta descriptions, and alt text to enhance on-page SEO
- Collaborate closely with the SEO Manager and creative team to ensure content quality and strategic alignment
- Proofread, revise, and refine drafts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, SEO trends, and content marketing best practices
- Maintain a human, brand-aligned voice while optimizing for search engines
