The Opportunity

We're hiring a Senior Director of FP&A to lead Syncro's planning, forecasting, operating model, and financial reporting as we scale. Reporting to the CFO, you'll own the numbers that drive executive, board, and investor decision-making, and partner with functional leaders to manage spend, headcount, and the strategic initiatives that shape our growth.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who has operated in a fast-moving, PE- or VC-backed SaaS environment and wants to put their fingerprints on how a finance function scales. Experience supporting an exit process (sale, recapitalization, or IPO readiness) at a sponsor-backed company is a significant plus.

This role is fully remote and reports to the CFO.

What You'll Be Doing

  • End-to-end planning: Own the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles.
  • Operating model: Build and evolve a driver-based operating model that reflects real business logic and scales with company growth.
  • Financial reporting & KPIs: Prepare accurate, timely financial reporting and KPI dashboards for leadership, the board, and our PE sponsor.
  • Business partnering: Act as financial advisor to department heads, delivering the qualitative and quantitative story behind actuals-vs-budget variances.
  • Strategic & exit support: Support board and investor materials, fundraising or exit processes, and the financial analysis behind strategic decisions.
  • FP&A tools & automation: Serve as primary administrator of our planning tool, driving automation and integration.
  • Data integrity: Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to maintain a single source of truth for financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Ad-hoc analysis: Lead high-impact analyses that influence long-term outcomes: gross margin drivers, unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback), pricing, and headcount/investment ROI.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance, ideally at high-growth SaaS companies. Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, net revenue retention, CAC, LTV, the Rule of 40) is required.
  • Experience at a PE- or VC-backed company is strongly preferred; direct experience supporting an exit process is a significant plus.
  • Expert in Excel and driver-based modeling; comfortable owning complex models and large datasets.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems, planning tools, and BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, Mosaic/HiBob, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High ownership and the ability to work autonomously in a 100% remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across the organization.

Interview Process

  1. Initial Zoom call with HR: 30 min
  2. Hiring manager interview: 45 min
  3. Technical screen: 30 min
  4. Team panel interview: 45 min

We value the opportunity to meet our potential team members face-to-face; therefore, a live, in-person interview is a required final step before an offer is extended. Please note that this will include travel at Syncro's expense to do so.
