Project Manager – Landfill Gas OM&M (Remote)

Tetra Tech is seeking a Project Manager for our Landfill Gas (LFG) Operations, Maintenance, and Monitoring (OM&M) Team in California. This remote position requires working Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours, with occasional required site visits in California.

Compensation: $90,000 - $140,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Your Role:

  • Manage LFG OM&M projects, including schedules, budgets, and financial aspects (AP/AR/Billing).
  • Oversee field monitoring and sampling for Landfill Gas Collection and Control Systems (GCCS), ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead proposal development, client interactions, and regulatory coordination.
  • Manage all project phases, from planning through construction/remediation, including quality control of project documents.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to engineering standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and review permit applications for site developments, modifications, and closures.
  • Oversee the development of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Lead the design and review of biogas collection, leachate, stormwater/surface water management, and liner systems.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safe work practices.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel to California for occasional site visits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Geological, or Environmental Engineering.
  • 3-6 years of experience in OM&M and/or Engineering Projects.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Civil Professional Engineering (PE) certification in California.
    • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Experience with biogas and landfill gas systems, and the solid waste industry.
  • Willingness to work Pacific Standard (PST) hours.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client/regulator interaction.
  • Proven technical skills in design and/or construction.
  • Ability to supervise technical and support staff, providing leadership and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF editors (e.g., Bluebeam, Adobe).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and personal integrity.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-disciplined and motivated, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
